Aaron Rodgers addresses controversy with scorching hot take on science
If Aaron Rodgers was hoping to turn down the heat on the conversation around his COVID-19 takes, he wasn’t successful this week. The reigning NFL MVP went back on the Pat McAfee Show to share some more thoughts on the pandemic.
Rodgers expressed frustration with medical professionals who supposedly do not discuss treatment options other than the vaccine. The Green Bay quarterback is famously not vaccinated against COVID-19.
“How come in a league with 51 guys on the (COVID) list yesterday, there’s no conversation around treatment options for those who test positive,” Rodgers said. “I do know behind the scenes, this is 100% true, there are many teams who are using/recommending a lot of the treatments I used.”
McAfee interjected with “Doctor Joe Rogan?”
“If you don’t agree with the ones I used, let’s come up with some other ones,” Rodgers continued. “Instead of sticking a person for 10 days in isolation, not able to see anybody and with zero treatment options… To me, If science can’t be questioned anymore, it’s propaganda.”
At this comment, Pat McAfee said, “Oh, you’re going to start some shit!”
On Sunday, Aaron Rodgers broke Packers legend Brett Favre’s franchise touchdown record with his 443 touchdown pass. The squad is 12-3 and first in the NFC North with a playoff bid secured.
Green Bay will face the Minnesota Vikings next on Jan. 2. The kickoff is at 8:20 p.m. ET from Lambeau Field.

ESPN analyst jumps all over Rodgers for new take
ESPN NFL analyst Domonique Foxworth went off on Aaron Rodgers on Wednesday morning’s episode of Get Up.
“It just feels like he has this victim complex, that he wants everyone to feel sorry for him,” Foxworth said. “He’s like ‘No, everyone’s jumping down my throat because I said something that was vastly against science and dangerous! Why are you so mean to me?! I just want to have a debate! Oh, this team won’t do all the things that I want! Why are you so mean to me, why do you treat me so bad?’”
“You are not the victim, Aaron Rodgers! You are possibly the best quarterback we’ve seen. You’ve won a Super Bowl, tons of MVP awards. Stop trying to feel sorry for yourself, because we’re not going to.”
Foxworth also suggested that Rodgers attempt to educate himself on the COVID-19 pandemic, beginning with avoiding taking advice from a podcaster.
Since the show aired this morning, the former Broncos cornerback shared that he has regrets.
