Green Bay Packers receiver DaVante Adams may be friends with Los Angeles Rams receiver Odell Beckham Jr, but that did not stop him from delivering a jab to his buddy. After the Packers defeated the Rams 36 –28, Adams revealed he had a brief conversation with Beckham before the game.

“We did talk two days ago, he said he needed a jersey after the game. I told him go get a Cooper cup jersey since that’s obviously the guy and that’s who he wanted to be with,” Adams said in an interview with former Cowboy great Michael Irvin.

Adams was one of the louder voices championing the signing of Odell Beckham to the Packers. Unfortunately, Los Angeles snuck in at the last second, signing the former Browns receiver and crushing the Packers All Pro’s dreams in the process.

Adams did say that it was all and fun and games afterward, and in fact, sent a jersey over to his friend and the opposing locker room. But the Green Bay receiver could not resist getting in one last jab before it was all said and done. One local reporter asked Adams if Beckham was out of luck on his jersey swap request after choosing the Rams over the Packers. To which Adams replied that he did send a jersey over but also told Beckham not to punch a wall this time.

Packers quarterback gets trolled too

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been in the spotlight quite a bit during the 2021 season. While he first said he was “immunized” instead of vaccinated against COVID-19 and then tested positive for the virus and had to be sidelined, he’s since been attracting plenty of attention due to a lingering toe injury he’s been dealing with over the past couple of weeks.

During Sunday’s FOX national broadcast of the Packers’ game against the Los Angeles Rams, play-by-play commentator Joe Buck made a joke about Rodgers, which was tied to his immunization comment from earlier this year.

“Rodgers telling us he had that toe immunized against the pain,” Buck said on the broadcast.

Despite Rodgers’ injury, he performed quite well Sunday – completing 28-of-45 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers’ 36-28 win, which moved them to 9-3 on the season. Rodgers has put together a solid season leading Green Bay, as he’s thrown for 2,878 yards and 23 touchdowns compared to just four interceptions.
