Green Bay Packers release inactives for Friday night matchup vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Green Bay Packers are getting ready to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday night. And the franchise officially listed their inactives an hour before kickoff. The game is being played in Sao Paulo, Brazil, one of the largest cities in the world. It’s part of the NFL’s effort to get their product out in front of more international fans across the globe.
Josh Jacobs was the starting running back for the Packers. Running back MarShawn Lloyd is one of the players that did not suit up at all on Friday night. That’s not a surprise at all, he’s been injured most of fall camp, dealing with a hamstring injury. Two players that are suiting up for the franchise, running back Emanuel Wilson and tight end Tucker Kraft.
The Eagles don’t have a lot of notable inactives, but quarterback Tanner McKee is inactive. Linebacker Devin White is also inactive for Philly. They signed him to a one-year deal this offseason.
Players were slipping all over the field in Brazil in the first half, but both offenses eventually found their footing and things started to click.

The Eagles did finally get things going on offense later in the first half, with Jalen Hurts connecting with Saquon Barkley on a touchdown pass (wheel route). Barkley found the end zone again in the first half, with a 11-yard touchdown run. It didn’t take long for the Packers to answer, after Jordan Love connected with Jayden Reed on a 70-yard touchdown pass, to put Green Bay up 19-14.
With 7:21 left in the third quarter, the Packers were leading the Eagles 26-24. Jordan Love once again connected with one of his receivers, this time it was Christian Watson for a two-yard touchdown catch.
Both Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts threw interceptions on Friday night. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley looked shaken up at the end of the first half and left the game for a few plays, but ended up looking fine as he scored his third touchdown of the game. He churned his legs near the goal line, plowing through a couple of Packers defenders to get Philadelphia the touchdown. That put them up 31-26 with 4:26 left in the third quarter.
