The Packers added former Troy cornerback Don Callis, Tuesday, to help with depth in the secondary.

Callis was among 18 players Green Bay brought into their rookie camp in May, days after the NFL Draft.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported the news.

Callis is the sixth player from the rookie tryout group to earn a spot at training camp. The others are quarterback Jacob Eason, receiver Rory Starkey, offensive lineman Lecitus Smith, receiver Julian Hicks and reciever Dimitri Stanley.

Callis also had a tryout with the 49ers. Because the Packers already had a full roster, expect the team to release a player to make room for their new DB.

Callis played one season at Troy. He started his career at East Central University in Oklahoma. He posted nice numbers at his Pro Day in the spring. Callis measured at 5-10 and 174 pounds. Scouts clocked him with a 4.44-second time in the 40-yard dash. He jumped 33.5 inches in the vertical.

At Troy, Callis made 26 tackles with a sack and a fumble recovery. He also posted four PBU.

In other Packers news, rookies MarShawn Lloyd and Kitsan Oladapo practiced for the first time Tuesday. Coach Matt LaFleur said each would start doing individual drills first.

The Packers selected Oladapo, a former Oregon State star, in the fifth round. The safety broke his toe at the scouting combine in early March and did not get to participate in any of the Green Bay off-season drills.

The Packers selected Lloyd, the former USC star, in the third round to give them depth at running back. He injured his hip last week during training camp.
