Packers star makes plea to organization over new uniforms
Green Bay Packers safety Adrian Amos balled out against the Washington Football Team. Perhaps it was due to the uniforms, as the Packers rocked some sweet throwbacks from 1950.
After the game, Amos made a plea to the organization over the uniforms.
“Definitely like these jerseys,” said Amos. “I hope these become our home uniforms now. We can get back to these.”
The Packers have one of the classic looks in the NFL. While their home uniforms are one of the best in football, their alternate throwbacks are beautiful in their own right. They may not replace their home uniforms, but nobody would mind if they wore them more often.
The uniforms gave Green Bay the power to win their sixth straight game, as Amon and the Packers defense held Washington to 10 points. The Packers secondary has been decimated by injuries, but Amos helped propel them to a great day.
Next up for Green Bay is one of the most anticipated Thursday Night Football games of all-time — a showdown with the Arizona Cardinals. Amos won’t be going up against Taylor Heinecke again, as Kyler Murray provides a much tougher test.
Amos: ‘Today was a big confidence boost for us.’
While the Packers defense has been playing well, Amos has seen their offense get a lion-share of the credit. After pleading for a uniform change, Amos reveled in the performance of his side of the football.

“We just kept at it. We did the same things during the week .. kept preparing, kept preparing. Just today we made those plays that we needed to make,” stated Amos. “I think there were a couple fourth down stops and things like that. Those are the things we needed to sharpen up on, that we haven’t been as good at during the beginning of the season. Today was a big confidence boost for us.”
However, Amos isn’t getting lost in their performance. With a short week on the horizon, the safety recognized the Packers must start preparing for Murray immediately.
“Oh, we got to — we got to start right now,” Amos said, in response to a question asking if he’s peeking over at Murray. “Enjoy this in the locker room and then get right to it.”
Adrian Amos is a fan of the Packers new uniforms, and perhaps he could convince the team to wear them again if his defense stifles Kyler Murray and the Cardinals on Thursday.
