The Green Bay Packers could be getting their own docuseries in the near future. Mark Murphy, the Packers president and CEO told attendees at the team’s annual shareholder’s meeting on Monday the team is working with NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning‘s Omaha Productions on a potential documentary series. Murphy did not reveal a timeline for the project or where it will be streamed, but he said the Packers hope to have an announcement soon.

“It will really focus on the history and tradition of the Packers and then, obviously, all the way to the modern day,” Murphy said, per Kendra Meinert of the Green Bay Press Gazette. “We think it is something that will be really popular with our fans.”

Meinert says discussions between Manning the Packers date back to July 2023 when the legendary quarterback was seen at training camp in Green Bay. At the time, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reported that Manning’s production company was in town to talk about a potential project.

It makes sense for the Packers to have a docuseries since it has a rich history of winning. The team has won four Super Bowls, but when it comes to overall league championships, Green Bay has earned 13 titles, the most in NFL history. The Packers were established in 1919, making them third-oldest franchise in the NFL.

Can the Packers win a Super Bowl in 2024?

Last year, the Green Bay Packers were led by new starting QB Jordan Love as the team traded Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets. The team finished the regular season with a 9-8 record and reached the divisional round of the playoffs.

In March, Love, who is currently looking for a new contract, made a big prediction for the Packers in 2024. “It’s a great feeling, man,” Love said on the The Pivot Podcast. “We’re all very hungry for this upcoming year. Like you said, the confidence from top to bottom is there. The organization believes that it’s the perfect time to have a chance to win a Super Bowl this year.

“Those conversations we had after that 49ers game were ‘Work harder, try and find ways to get better, because next year we’re gonna do it,’ “ Love said. “There’s no more ‘we’re a young team,’ there’s no more of those what ifs. People know what we’re about now. Obviously, we’ll have that target on our back now, people are gonna want to beat us. We’re hungry.”
