Greg Biffle wants to race another Daytona 500 in 'good, competitive car'
We have not seen Greg Biffle in NASCAR Cup Series action since 2022. However, The Biff wants to give the Daytona 500 another try. This time, he wants to be in top equipment and go out with a last hoo-rah.
In 2022, Greg Biffle raced five times with NY Racing Team. Since then, the two parties have had a falling out of sorts.
Recently on Let’s Go Racing with David Starr, Biffle talked about his desire to race again. He’s 54 years old, but this would be a one-off. It’s not like he’s tackling an entire season.
Only this time around, Biffle isn’t racing for just anyone. He wants to be in good equipment.
“You know, I don’t have anything in the works right now. So, I would say Daytona in February [2025] is probably slim,” Biffle explained. “Um, I definitely will be there. I love that time of the year and I love Daytona. So, I’ll be down there wandering around. But as far as being behind the wheel it’s probably unlikely this year that I’ll be there. But I want to put something together and run another 500 in a good, competitive car. So, I need to get off my butt and start working on it and find a good car to drive.”

The driver then continued, and maybe accidentally broke some news?
“Yeah, I think there is [a ride out there]. You know, Roush has a second car, David Ragan’s driving, or third car,” Biffle explained. “I know Penske’s fielded a few cars, so there’s definitely some opportunities. I just need to go start shaking the trees and you know, get something worked out.”
Well, I’m not sure if Greg Biffle is thinking about last year’s Daytona 500, or if he has inside word on the upcoming 500. RFK Racing has recently just expanded to three full-time teams. Running a fourth part-time car at Daytona wouldn’t be the wildest thing ever, though.
While The Biff was a Ford driver during his full-time career, he is not beholden to any manufacturer at the moment. He raced in an ARCA Series West event this season in a Chevy for Sigma Performance Services.
Who would you like to see Greg Biffle team up with in a future Daytona 500?
