Greg Olsen‘s $10 million annual salary as Fox Sports’ No. 1 color analyst will decrease to $3 million once Tom Brady joins the team, the New York Post reports. Olsen will slide to the No. 2 team while Brady takes his place in the fall of 2024.

Whether that’s fair or not is up for debate, but when you have the GOAT getting ready to join your broadcasting booth — somebody has to go and it just so happened to be Olsen. He was on the call alongside Kevin Burkhardt, and many have been praising him for the job he did on broadcast’s biggest stage.

Olsen soared up the ladder since he began and earned a lot of praise from viewers this season when the two debuted as the No. 1 team. The previous No. 1 pair, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, left for ESPN’s Monday Night Football prior to the season.

Still, it was announced last May that Brady would be signing a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports upon his retirement. Fox Sports will use him for every penny.

Brady walked away from football with 89,214 yards, 649 touchdowns, 212 interceptions and a 64.3% completion percentage rate. The five-time Super Bowl MVP and seven-time champion made the case as the greatest quarterback of all time, now he’s looking to enjoy similar success in the booth.

“I think for me, I know in my heart, how I feel,” Brady said. “I put it out on the field for 23 years and I’m super proud of you know, what’s been accomplished. And you know, I just wanted to keep last week really short and sweet. And I felt like I’ve given a lot, I’ve gained a lot, I’ve learned a lot. Life is about exciting things ahead, too.

“So I think when one thing closes like football has for me for 32 years of my life and you know, I look forward to what’s ahead.”
