For the 2025 NASCAR season, Texas A&M University will serve as a primary and associate sponsor for Haas Factory Team and Cole Custer. Last season, Texas A&M teamed up with Stewart-Haas for a couple of races and they are back for more.

Not only will the Aggies sponsor Cole Custer in the NASCAR Cup Series, but they are going to sponsor Felix Rosenqvist in the NTT IndyCar Series. Texas A&M will be doing the “Double” on Memorial Day weekend.

To start Sunday, May 25, Rosenqvist will take on the Indianapolis 500 with the maroon and camo onboard. They will then be represented on the No. 41 Ford Mustang of Custer in the Coca-Cola 600. Eat your heart out, Kyle Larson.

It is clear that Texas A&M sees a lot of value in motorsports. Both IndyCar and NASCAR are getting love with this sponsorship, and that is a great thing for all involved.

Aggie fans now have drivers to root for this season. Texas A&M will be the primary sponsor for the Coca-Cola 600, but the deal also includes a season-long associate sponsorship. College sports fans and NASCAR fans overlap quite a bit, and I hope to see more universities do similar sponsorships.

“I’m proud to carry the Texas A&M branding on our No. 41 Ford Mustang this season,” Custer said. “It was a productive partnership in 2024, so we look forward to expanding the relationship and raising awareness around Texas A&M’s commitment to our country’s military personnel. The Aggie Core Values align well with our philosophy at Haas and resonate with the NASCAR fanbase.”

While Cole Custer is from California and Felix Rosenqvist from Sweden, they are both Texans with this deal. The Aggies are making a great move with these deals.

Haas continues partnership with Texas A&M

Last season, Texas A&M got a bargain on the Stewart-Haas Racing sponsorship. With the organization closing its doors and downsizing from four teams to one, it made sense. While we don’t know the value of this deal, I have to imagine it couldn’t have been a better one than they had in 2024.

Custer and Haas Factory Team have welcomed Texas A&M back into the fold. Honestly, with the RFK Alliance that Haas has, this year has been underwhelming. He has no finishes inside of the top-20 this season. The speed is just not there for the 2023 Xfinity Series champion.

It is very interesting to see Custer’s struggles as Ryan Preece flourishes in his new RFK Racing ride. Haas Factory Team has stated that they are more or less a fourth RFK car. Custer’s crew chief, Aaron Kramer, said as much before the season.

Let’s see if the support from Texas A&M is what gives Haas that extra edge. It has been a tough go of things heading into the Easter weekend break.
