Hailey Van Lith grabbed everyone’s attention when she arrived on the Orange Carpet ahead of the WNBA Draft. The TCU basketball star was seen wearing a black dress with a heels and purse to match.

Hailey Van Lith had a stellar 2024-25 season at TCU and could be selected in the top 10 of the draft. In ESPN’s latest mock draft, Van Lith is projected to be selected by the Chicago Sky at No. 11 overall.

“Van Lith could join Angel Reese, her teammate at LSU from the 2023-24 campaign, in Chicago,” Michael Voepel of ESPN wrote. “Van Lith also could be an understudy to one of the best point guards in WNBA history, Courtney Vandersloot, who returned to Chicago this year.”

Last year, Van Lith averaged 17.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists to help the Horned Frogs reach the Elite Eight for the first time in team history. She was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, Big 12 Player of the Year and was selected a Third-team All-American by the Associated Press and the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).

Hailey Van Lith reveals when she feels ‘powerful’

Along with having success on the basketball court, Van Lith has built her brand off the court as she’s featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. While speaking with SI, the 23-year-old talked about when she feels the most powerful and beautiful.

“It’s hard, because the way that I play in my playing style on the court is so, like tenacious and gritty and tough, but honestly, when I’m in a flow state and in a rhythm on the basketball court, I feel so powerful and strong,” Van Lith said. “Confidence is high. I feel pretty, like, I know my pictures are gonna come out fire after the game. Also, through the sport, connected to it, I’ve also met so many other girls who have the same experiences as me, and you know, fellow female athletes who have really uplifted me and helped me navigate this journey.

Hailey Van Lith also revealed when she full embraced herself. “Personally, faith has been a huge thing for me,” she said. “Having a foundation of scripture and my relationship with God has really helped me embrace like, who I who I was born to be. So there’s nothing a part of me that I should be ashamed of.”
