It hasn’t been long, but Hailie Deegan is heading back to the race track after losing her ride in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Deegan is going Trans-Am racing with the great Ken Schrader for Team SLR.

The Trans-Am race is going to feature TA2 cars, two drivers per car, for a 60-minute event at Lime Rock Park. Hailie Deegan had been competing for AM Racing until the week of the Chicago Street Race.

It was announced that week that Joey Logano would drive her car. It wasn’t long before the two parties, Deegan, and AM Racing, announced that they were parting ways.

Deegan is getting back in the driver’s seat, though. The race will take place July 19-20 at Lime Rock Park. Friday will be practice and qualifying for the All-Stars. Then the race takes place on Saturday at 12:30 PM on MAVTV.

There are a lot of great drivers who are showing up. Greg Biffle, Geoff Bodine, Ron Fellows, Ron Hornaday, Bobby Labonte, Paul Menard, Ryan Newman, Boris Said, Max Papis, and more.

The All-Star drivers are going to qualify the cars. They will also start the race, then after a five-minute pit stop, there will be a driver change. The winning team gets a $50,000 prize as well as the trophy.

Hailie Deegan is going to continue racing. That is good for everybody. She is incredibly popular and a lot of people still think we haven’t seen the best of her yet. Is it possible she finds a new, more permanent home, soon?

What is next for Hailie Deegan?

After being replaced by Joey Logano at Chicago it was revealed that Hailie Deegan had lost her NASCAR Xfinity Series ride. On Saturday, Deegan was spotted at Iowa Speedway around the Indy NXT series. The series practiced today at the Iowa oval.

Hailie Deegan could be taking in a fun weekend of racing at Iowa. Maybe she is looking at her options in the IndyCar pipeline. While it sounds a little wild, it isn’t as out of the box as you might think.

Multiple people saw Deegan hanging out at the Indy NXT event. Perhaps she is checking things out and seeing if this is a series that she could get into? There are many options for Deegan to take if she wants to pause her NASCAR career.

When Deegan was young and learning how to race, she did very well in Junior Karts. She won a couple of championships, won races. But it has been a while since those days. Could she adapt to an open-wheel format?
