With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, and three weeks before votes are due, FanDuel updated its betting odds to win the 2024 Heisman Trophy as one dynamic player — Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter — has established himself as the overwhelming favorite.

Hunter had previously shared top betting odds with the likes of Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty throughout the season. But the dynamic Buffaloes playmaker clearly impressed oddsmakers with his all-around play in Week 12’s win over Utah when he added a tip-drill interception and a rushing touchdown to go along with his nine receiving scores on the season.

As voters continue to weigh their options before casting their ballots over the next few weeks, the 2024 Heisman Trophy Trophy appears to have become a two-horse race to the finish. Check out the updated list of Heisman contenders below, according to FanDuel.

CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado: -350

College football’s first true two-way superstar in nearly two decades, Hunter has clearly established himself as the overwhelming favorite to win the 2024 Heisman Trophy four weeks before the ceremony, and Vegas oddsmakers responded in kind. Hunter’s betting odds jumped more than 25-percent in a week, from +125 to -350, as the runaway favorite to hoise the bronze Heisman statue next month.

With comparisons to two-way collegiate Hall of Famers like Champ Bailey and Desmond Howard, Hunter continues to turn heads all across the college football landscape, especially among Heisman Trophy voters. Through 10 games this season, Hunter leads Colorado with 74 receptions for 911 yards and nine touchdowns to go along with a rushing touchdown vs. Utah and three interceptions on defense.

RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State: +390

Jeanty locked up the Boise State single-season rushing record with 159 yards and three touchdowns against San Diego State in Week 12. That effort was Jeanty’s 10th straight with more than 125 rushing yards and has the Broncos ‘back with 1,893 yards on the ground this season — 735 yards shy of eclipsing Barry Sanders‘ all-time single-season NCAA-record of 2,628 yards.

With two games remaining, and a potential College Football Playoff bid should Boise win out, Jeanty has a serious opportunity to break Sanders’ single-season mark. But, given his nearly 190 yards-per-game average, it’s unlikely to happen before Heisman ballots are due, meaning the record isn’t likely to impact voting. Nevertheless, Jeanty’s stellar season is more than enough earn him a trip to NYC with the second-best odds to win it, according to FanDuel.

QB Cam Ward, Miami: +1400

As the Heisman favorite much of the season, Ward saw his odds dip for the second straight week during the Hurricanes’ bye. Despite that drop, the dynamic Hurricanes quarterback should still warrant an invite to the Heisman Trophy ceremony if for no other reason than the Trust routinely invites at least three players regardless of the voting differential.

And Ward’s stats certainly deserve the early-December invitation, leading all of college football with 3,494 passing yards and 32 touchdowns through the air to go along with three more scores on the ground. Add to that a potential ACC Championship and Ward’s Heisman resume will make him a shoo-in to make the NYC rounds with Hunter and Jeanty.

QB Kurtis Rourke, Indiana: +3000

The Hoosiers’ starting QB has been Mr. Consistent this season, leading Indiana on an undefeated Cinderella run through the Big Ten in head coach Curt Cignetti‘s first season in Bloomington. That success has certainly impressed oddsmakers, with FanDuel regularly ranking Rourke among the Top 5 Heisman hopefuls for the last few weeks.

Still, outside of a stunning effort Saturday in Columbus — which will need to include a Hoosiers win — this might be the last week oddsmakers take notice of the steady Indiana quarterback whose stats simply pale in comparison to many of his fellow QB contenders.

QB Dillon Gabriel, Oregon: +3500

Oregon’s veteran quarterback continues to turn heads in his sixth season of college ball, leading the nation with a 73.8 completion percentage (259-of-351) with 3,066 yards and a 22-to-6 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

But outside of a stellar showing against either Ohio State or Indiana in the Big Ten Championship Game in two weeks, Gabriel will likely miss out on an invite to NYC for the Heisman Trophy ceremony, especially if FanDuel’s updated odds are reflected in the actual voting that takes place over the next few weeks.

QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama: +3500

The dynamic Alabama quarterback continued to flash star potential with a three-touchdown game in 2 1/2 quarters of ball in Saturday’s rout of FCS-level Mercer. Still, even with 32 total touchdowns on the season, it wasn’t enough to improve his chances to win the Heisman as FanDuel practically doubled his odds from +1800 a week ago.

After finishing sixth in last season’s Heisman Trophy voting, Milroe appears likely to once again find himself on the outside looking in for an invite to NYC, at least so far as the betting odds are concerned. That said, with two weeks remaining in the regular season and a potential SEC Championship Game showcase, anything is possible.

QB Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss: +6000

The Ole Miss quarterback remains one of college football’s most explosive players, leading the nation with a 188.6 quarterback rating while ranking third nationally with 3,409 passing yards to go along with 22 touchdowns on 70.8 (211-of-298) completion percentage.

Despite his impressive stats, Vegas isn’t sold on Dart’s potential to even earn an invite to NYC given the odds differential between him and Gabriel/Milroe, both of whom could have a late chance to impress in their respective conference championship games.

QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado: +15000

Given Buffaloes teammate Travis Hunter’s status as the runaway odds-on favorite, Sanders’ own Heisman odds took a serious hit entering the final two weeks of the season. That said, Sanders’ prowess with his arm and legs have certainly set the stage for both Hunter and Colorado to open eyes in 2024.

Sanders, the early favorite to be the No. 1 quarterback taken in the 2025 NFL Draft, is tied for second nationally with 27 passing touchdowns and a 72.9 completion percentage (280-of-384) to go along with 3,222 passing yards, averaging 322.2 yards through the air per game. Suffice it to say, the son of Deion Sanders is putting up Primetime numbers all his own.
