Heisman Trophy odds: Betting favorites updated after Week 14
With less than a week before Monday’s official announcement of the 2024 Heisman Trophy finalists, Vegas oddsmakers continue to reflect the betting trends that appears to heavily favor one candidate.
Two-way Colorado superstar Travis Hunter continues to be the overwhelming odds-on favorite to win this year’s Heisman Trophy, pulling ahead with -6000 odds, according to FanDuel’s latest Heisman odds.
That’s a significant increase from last week’s -800 odds for Hunter, creating a gigantic gap between himself and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, whose odds more than doubled from +650 to +1500 in the last week. Check out FanDuel’s full Heisman odds below:
CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado: -6000
As his famous head coach Deion Sanders made clear after Saturday’s 52-0 blowout of Oklahoma State, Hunter may have already “clinched the Heisman with this performance.” Hunter recorded both an interception and an offensive touchdown for the fourth time this season, becoming the first player in the past 25 seasons with at least two games of multiple scrimmage touchdowns and an interception, per ESPN.
With a season-high-tying three-touchdown effort against the Cowboys, Hunter set the Colorado single-season record with 14 receiving scores to go along with four interceptions this year. Hunter – also a finalist for the Maxwell, Bednarik and Biletnikoff award – is widely expected to become the Buffaloes’ second-ever Heisman Trophy winner, following in the footsteps of 1994 winner Rashaan Salaam.
RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State: +1500
While Hunter is the overwhelming favorite to hoist the Heisman Trophy a week from Saturday, it’s not because of anything Jeanty hasn’t done. With his fifth 200-yard rushing effort in last Saturday’s win over Oregon State, the Broncos running back capped a historic regular season on the ground, leading the country with 2,288 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns this season.
Jeanty is the first collegiate running back to eclipse the 2,000-yard mark since Alabama’s Derrick Henry did during his 2015 Heisman-winning campaign. And Jeanty has been even better, leading the Broncos on the verge of a College Football Playoff appearance with a win in Saturday’s Mountain West Conference championship game. If not for Hunter’s once-in-a-generation 2024 season, Jeanty would be the unquestioned Heisman favorite.
QB Dillon Gabriel, Oregon: +5000
The competition for third place and potentially a ticket to the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York looks like a five-person quarterback battle.
Gabriel leads undefeated No. 1 Oregon (12-0) into Saturday’s Big Ten Championship Game with a conference-leading 3,275 passing yards and 73.5 completion percentage to go along with a 24-to-6 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
QB Kurtis Rourke, Indiana: +5000
Outside of a season-worst effort in the Hoosiers’ lone loss to Ohio State, Rourke has been a steady hand for Indiana this season, including posting a Big Ten-leading 27-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Whether it’s enough to earn Rourke a ticket to NYC remains to be seen, but he’s certainly made his case.
QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama: +5000
While not as consistent as many Crimson Tide fans would like, Milroe’s dynamic playmaking ability can’t be denied. Neither can his scoring prowess.
With 35 combined touchdowns rushing and passing – 20 and 15, respectively – Milroe leads the SEC in touchdowns this season.
QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado: +5000
While two Heisman Trophy ceremony invites for one school is unlikely, Sanders has certainly made a case for it to happen this season.
With Hunter as his clear No. 1 target, Sanders ranks second nationally with 35 passing touchdowns and third nationally with 3,926 passing yards, averaging 327.2 per game this season.
QB Cam Ward, Miami: +5000
As sensational as Sanders has been, Ward has arguably been even better. The ‘Canes quarterback leads the country with 36 passing touchdowns and is second nationally with 4,319 yards of total offense.
While Miami’s College Football Playoff hopes remain up in the air, Ward has more than made his case for an invite to New York as a Heisman finalist.
