The NFL Network shared a hilarious compilation on Sunday overlaying analyst Rich Eisen running the 40-yard dash against this year’s crop of Scouting Combine participants. Eisen has been recording his own running of the 40-yard dash for charity each year since 2015, clocking a personal best of 5.94. The proceeds raised go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

This year, Eisen will be doing his Run Rich Run at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena California on April 21. The former ESPN Sports Center host runs the sprint while wearing a full suit and tie – though he does don some football cleats.

“How would I describe myself as a runner? All heart,” Eisen said in an interview for St. Jude’s in 2019. “I really would just say it’s all heart.”

The 54-year-old broadcaster’s fundraiser has brought in more than $5 million for cancer research and it’s not slowing down any time soon.

“It’s not just about the medicine and the science,” he said. “It’s about the heart and the spirit and the love. And understanding that for kids to get better, the families have to be mentally healthy, too.

“And for the families to be mentally healthy, their kids have got to get better. It’s sort of a symbiotic relationship that St. Jude pays attention to, fosters, nurtures. So that’s why raising as much money for something that is so dependent on donations is crucial.”

Xavier Worthy sets new NFL Combine record in 40-yard dash

Texas Longhorns star receiver Xavier Worthy broke the NFL Scouting Combine record for the fastest 40-yard dash on Saturday at Lucas Oil. Worthy’s official time of 4.21 seconds made him officially the fastest man in the history of the NFL Scouting Combine, passing John Ross’s record.

As if the hype wasn’t already building around Worthy, teams know his name now. He is coming off a monster year at Texas, totaling 1,014 receiving yards and five touchdowns. A fringe first-round pick entering the Combine, it’s safe to say he won’t have to worry much about falling into the second round with that kind of speed.

This year’s wide receiver class is a big one, loaded with talent. With names such as Marvin Harrison Jr.Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze expected to go in the top 10, there’s still plenty of depth to go in the later rounds. Worthy, however, might have run his way into the first round with his performance in Indianapolis.
