Houston Texans troll Dallas following Cowboys' loss in the NFC Wild Card
Texas entered the opening weekend of the NFL Playoffs with two teams in the field. Now, with both teams having played, only one is left standing and it’s not the one that you would have expected.
The Houston Texans advanced out of the Wild Card and into the divisional round on Saturday with their win over Cleveland. Then, on Sunday, Dallas was unable to move on as the Packers hammered them at home. That’s why, following the Cowboys’ loss in Arlington, the Texans staked their claim as the state’s team now.
Houston opened the league’s postseason up with a 45-14 victory over the Browns in the AFC Wild Card.
QB CJ Stroud shined again as a rookie as the youngest quarterback to ever win a playoff game. He went 16-21 for 274 yards and three touchdowns in his postseason debut. However, it was a pair of third quarter pick-sixes off of Joe Flacco that blew it open for the Texans.
With the victory, Houston won their first playoff game since 2019. The outcome of the Steelers-Bills game on Monday will determine what their next matchup will be.

Dallas did not have similar success against the Packers a day later. On Sunday, the Cowboys lost 48-32 as the No. 2 seed in the NFC.
The 16-point margin doesn’t fully describe how badly Green Bay beat on Dallas in the NFC Wild Card. The Packers started up 27-0 with a pair of touchdowns from RB Aaron Jones and a pair of interceptions off Dak Prescott, including a pick-six. They then led by as much as 32 in the fourth quarter. That was before a pair of touchdowns and two-point conversions for the home team cut it to the final deficit.
The Texans have to be feeling like a raging success while the Cowboys will now enter the offseason with more questions than answers after another disappointing finish. For that reason, Houston wants everyone to know that they are the team for Texas for now and moving forward into the next round.
Stephen A. Smith trolls Cowboys fans following blowout loss in playoffs
Few are happier about the Dallas Cowboys hitting the exit in the NFL Playoffs than ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith. Smith has made a sport of laughing at Dallas’ distress over the years.
The Cowboys fans were already reeling after Sunday’s playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers. The long-time personality and host of First Take then only added to the misery with a video he shot following the game.
