How to watch Gonzaga vs. Texas: Odds, stream, TV channel in Women's NCAA Tournament
On Friday, No. 4 seed Gonzaga will square off against No. 1 seed Texas in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Texas has looked dominant thus far in the Big Dance, winning both of its games by double digits.
However, the Longhorns aren’t the only ones riding high into Friday’s contest. Gonzaga handily defeated five-seed Utah on Monday. In the win, the Bulldogs were on fire from downtown, shooting 12-22 (54.5%) from beyond the arc.

Friday will be the first time the two storied programs have ever met. However, not every player is unfamiliar with their opponent. Texas guard Shaylee Gonzales spent four years at BYU. While there, she averaged 16.1 points over the nine games she played against Gonzaga.
Texas hopes to continue to find breakout performances
Gonzales struggled in Texas’ win over Alabama in the Round of 32, only recording two points on 1-5 shooting. Thankfully for Texas fans, not every Longhorn was out of rhythm. Aaliyah Moore, who missed most of last season with a torn ACL, exploded for a career-high 21 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
“My team needed me today,” Moore said. “It was kind of just a choice of being smart, knowing when I need to be out there and when I don’t. I just made sure I got a good night’s rest. I came early today, got treatment and was ready for the game.”
Moore played 34 minutes in the win despite only logging one minute in the second half of Texas’ first-round win over Drexel. The Longhorns will need the rest of the team to bring similar resiliency if they hope to defeat Gonzaga and reach the Elite Eight.
