This Friday is the NASCAR Hall of Fame ceremony where Jimmie Johnson, Chad Knaus, and Donnie Allison will be inducted as the 2024 class. All three of these men contributed great moments to the sport and to fans all over the country.

Forever, Donnie Allison’s fight with Cale Yarborough at Daytona will live on. Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus’ seven championships will always be remembered. In addition to this Hall of Fame class, Janet Guthrie will receive the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.

It is going to be a whole event. NASCAR fans who have been watching for a long time will all have something to look forward to. The NASCAR Hall of Fame ceremony is always a touching event with emotion and passion.

How to Watch NASCAR Hall of Fame ceremony:
Channel: Streaming on Peacock
Time: 8:00 PM EST
Location: NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte, North Carolina
Class of 2024: Donnie Allison, Jimmie Johnson, Chad Knaus
Landmark Award: Janet Guthrie

These NASCAR greats have done so many great things, and continue to do great things. Think about Garage 56 and how integral Johnson and Knaus were to that team. It was a chance to see them work together one last time (at least it seems).

Donnie Allison is a legend of the sport. While his brother Bobby found a lot more success, Donnie was a wheelman in his own right. He deserves to join his brother in the Hall of Fame this year.

NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2024

It is amazing how far the NASCAR Hall has come in such a short period of time. I think that NASCAR has done a great job of getting drivers and other figures into the Hall that deserve to be there. Every name nominated is worthy of entry.

It is hard to see other names, Sam Ard being one obvious driver, be passed over. However, it is good for the sport to honor Johnson and Knaus together. Honestly, it would be nice to have more hoopla around the whole thing.

While every induction is special, the Hendrick Motorsports duo deserves pomp and circumstance fitting of the all-time greats. I’m not sure what NASCAR has cooked up for this weekend, but I’m sure they will do a fine job honoring these two drivers in Allison and Johnson, as well as Knaus.

In a way, this induction is a celebration of the modern era between 1979 and 2020. Donnie Allison started it with the Daytona brawl, Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus closed the chapter ahead of the Next Gen era in NASCAR.
