Hurricane Milton: Tom Brady announces donation to victims in Florida
Tom Brady announced that he’s making a $100,000 donation to help the people impacted by Hurricane Milton. This comes after the storm hit Florida’s Gulf Coast on Wednesday.
“In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I’ll be donating $100k to help get essentials like food, water, and first aid to fellow Floridians in need,” Brady said. “My friends at [Gopuff] are matching this, along with all the other donations made via ‘Give With Gopuff,’ all benefiting the Volunteer Florida Foundation.
“Keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out any way you’re able. Stay safe, and stay strong Florida.”
Brady also tagged Volunteer Florida in the post. According to its website, Volunteer Florida “receives over $75 million in federal and state funding to support our efforts to expand national service, promote disaster resiliency, and advocate for volunteerism in Florida. The agency is guided by a bipartisan board of Commissioners, who are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Florida Senate.”

Tom Brady had a successful football career in Florida
Brady’s donation comes after it was revealed that Taylor Swift donated $5 million to Feeding America for people impacted by Hurricanes Milton and Helene. “We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift,” Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot said in a statement posted to the organization’s social media. “This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms.
“Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead. Thank you, Taylor, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and for helping communities in need.”
Brady is very familiar with Florida as he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2020 to 2022. In his three seasons in Tampa, Brady led the Buccaneers to the playoffs all three years and won a Super Bowl in 2020.
