Former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is readying for his next opportunity in the NFL after hitting free agency for the first time in his career. There’s a myriad of teams interested in his services, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The analyst joined The Pat McAfee Show on Friday to dish on Kupp’s future. Evidently, a decision is expected before Saturday rolls around, as the Super Bowl LVI MVP is trying to figure out which jersey he’ll wear in 2025.

“A lot of teams [are] interested. The market was, I thought it’d be pretty hot — it was pretty hot. A lot of teams interested. You know, sort of the problem now — not that there’s a problem, because he’s going to do really fine. But the problem is a lot of teams have spent a lot of their money,” Rapoport explained. “This is the reason why people like to get free before free agency. Let’s say he was free a week ago — let’s say he was free like Davante Adams a week ago. Might have he been able to get that $20M-plus contract? Maybe. But that’s just not the way it worked. He was cut when he was cut because of some contractual things and whatever. But he’s going to do fine.

“I believe the list is getting narrowed down. I believe we’ll have a decision today. I think there’s, you know, some really good teams interested. You know, the Seahawks have been a team that’s been interested. The Saints have been in the mix. We’ve mentioned the Cowboys. I don’t get the sense they’re in it now, but I believe they checked in at some point. There’s been several teams.

“Cooper Kupp, like, he’s 31 right? Obviously, the numbers over the last couple years are the numbers. But he is still a very, very good receiver. Seems to be, to me, more like the final piece for a championship-caliber team now, as opposed to the key cog that he was, like eight years ago. But I think he’s going to do very well. … It sounds like probably more than $12M [per year]. I mean maybe up to $15M. I mean, I don’t actually know the firm numbers. But you say to me, like, what [have] teams been discussing? I think that’s probably in the ballpark.”

All told, Kupp’s an exciting option, but last season was not the best for the veteran wide receiver, as his 710 yards were the second-lowest of his career. He still surpassed the double-digit yards per reception mark at 10.6, totaling 67 catches. Six touchdowns is not too shabby of a number as well, considering some of the injuries he dealt with.

As Ian Rapoport reported, the former Los Angeles Rams wide receivers will have some options, but it remains to be seen where he ends up. One thing is for sure, Cooper Kupp will be on a revenge tour in 2025, and hoping to stay healthy when the time comes.
