The highly-anticipated Week 13 matchup between Indiana and Ohio State is nearly upon us.

Saturday afternoon’s top-five matchup headlines another exciting week of college football, but no game will matter more in terms of the College Football Playoff race, and the Big Ten Championship race for that matter, with the season quickly drawing to a close.

But how are the Hoosiers expected to fare against the Buckeyes in one of the most hostile environments in the country?

Heading into game week, Ohio State has opened as a 10.5-point favorite over Indiana at home, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under point spread is set at 54.5 in the highly-consiquential Big Ten matchup.

At a perfect 10-0, Indiana has largely dominated its competition in each of those games. The exception came in the Week 11 win against Michigan, where the Hoosiers walked away with a 20-15 victory. None of Indiana’s other wins have been contested by anything less than two scores. They trailed 3-0 against the Wolverines but never relinquished the lead from then on.

For the Buckeyes, they’ve rattled off three-straight wins since losing its first game of the season against Oregon on Oct. 12. Since then, they’ve added wins over a then-No. 3 Penn State team on the road and have wins over Nebraska and Purdue.

If Vegas’ predictions come true and Saturday marks a win for the Buckeyes, Ohio State would move ahead of Indiana in the Big Ten rankings to set up a potential rematch between the Buckeyes and Ducks in the conference title game.

However, a winning effort by Indiana may silence many critics who aren’t fond of the Hoosiers’ strength of schedule. If they don’t beat the Buckeyes during Week 13, they will have finished the regular season without a victory over a ranked opponent.
