'Crazy' Tony Brown has 'immaculate' reaction to first day of pads at Colts training camp
NFL training camp is back but until the pads come on, it’s not too much but walkthroughs. Well, the Indianapolis Colts recently had their first padded practice and the players were excited. Now more so than ‘Crazy’ Tony Brown, who was all about the “immaculate vibes” on Day One.
The Colts posted a video of players walking to the practice field. Everybody shows off their excitement, including rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson. Wide receiver Michael Pittman even drives by in what looks to be an electric bike, giving out a cheer for the camera.
Brown then pops up onto the screen for the final part of the video. Staring into the camera for a couple of seconds, he then shows his excitement for getting into full pads. A hilarious moment for somebody many believe is a national treasure.
You can check out the full moment from Brown here.
Brown is entering his second season with Indianapolis, his fifth different NFL team. While he has not been able to get on the field with the Colts, you can see he is a great personality to have around the locker room. For that reason alone, fans across the NFL love him.
However, Tuscaloosa may be where the Tony Brown fan base officially resides. Being a product of Nick Saban and Alabama, he became a cult hero during his college days and for many reasons. One was because of his intimidating shirtless pregame ritual.

Prior to the 2017 matchup against LSU, Brown decided to walk through the Tigers’ pregame warmups without his shirt on. Neck was playing in the background at Bryant-Denny Stadium. In what would usually create some commotion, nobody from LSU seemed too interested in messing with Brown.
However, Brown is most likely known for his rant in a television interview following Alabama’s Sugar Bowl win against Clemson in the College Football Playoff. Just a season removed from a national championship showdown where Hunter Renfrow caught the game-winning pass, Brown had some words after a resounding Crimson Tide win.
Based on the video with Indianapolis, it’s good to know Brown has not changed at all. Truly a special character in football, this is the type of energy everyone needs this early in training camp. You can sense football being just around the corner.
As Brown said in the video — “Immaculate vibes. Full pads. I ain’t got to say anymore.”
