Two NASCAR insiders have a message for fans looking for the best tracks to attend. On The Teardown podcast, Jeff Gluck and Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic revealed the best NASCAR tracks for fans to take in a race.

“It’s really tough for me to overlook the Bristol night race,” Gluck said. “…If you’re a NASCAR fan and you’ve never walked into Bristol Motor Speedway just to see the place, that’s just an experience just like anything else in all of sports in my opinion. You could say Daytona, you could say some of these other tracks. But if I’m going to say you have to see this Bristol Motor Speedway, you have to walk through that tunnel as you’re coming out and then just be like, ‘Wow this is unreal. The magnitude of this place.'”

Bianchi showed love to Homestead and Kansas. “If I’m looking at planning a trip, and it depends on what you’re looking for, Homestead is a great race,” Bianchi said. It’s entertaining, the Keys are not far away, so depending on how much time you’ve got, go check out the race. And then that night you’re down in the Keys sitting oceanside having an adult beverage or two.

More on the best NASCAR tracks for fans

“…Kansas City is such a great sports town in general. If you can plan your trip to go there and see the race, which Kansas is arguably the best track in NASCAR right now, if it’s not it’s in the top two or three. The Chiefs are playing or you can catch a baseball game and see the Royals. …That is a great town. People don’t realize what an underrated gem Kansas City is.”

The one track mentioned that stands out is Bristol Motor Speedway but it’s not only because of NASCAR. While it’s a popular track among drivers and fans, Bristol will make history next year, hosting an MLB regular season game between the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves. It will be the first regular season game in National League and American League history played in Tennessee.

“On behalf of the team at Bristol Motor Speedway and Speedway Motorsports, we are thrilled to partner with Major League Baseball to bring the Speedway Classic to the ‘Home of Big Events’ on Aug. 2, 2025,” Jerry Caldwell, track president of Bristol Motor Speedway, said in a press release in August. “There is deep baseball history in Bristol and around this area, long acknowledged as the heart of the Appalachian League. In addition, Bristol’s location makes it the perfect ‘meet in the middle’ destination for a showdown between these two beloved clubs.”
