Iowa’s currently one of the hottest teams in the country, boasting a 31-4 overall record this season after winning eight straight games and their third-straight tournament title. Clark also won her third straight Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player Award in the process to go along with her multitude of accolades. As the Buffaloes will surely have their focus on slowing down college basketball’s all-time leading scorer if they want to pull out the upset win.
The Buffaloes opened up the season with one of the most impressive wins of the year, defeating the defending national champion LSU Tigers who beat the Hawkeyes in last season’s national championship game. Featuring a three-headed monster of Aaronette Vonleh, Jaylyn Sherrod, and Frida Formann who all averaged double-figure points per game and have alternated being Colorado’s leading scorer throughout the season.
