Report: Isaiah Bond arrested on outstanding sexual assault warrant

Former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond was arrested after turning himself in to police in Frisco, Texas on Thursday on an outstanding warrant for sexual assault, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported. A 2025 NFL Draft prospect, he was later released on bond.
Bond, who began his college career at Alabama, came in as a second-round pick in ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr.’s two-round Mock Draft 4.0 this week. He was a key part of Texas’ success last season, totaling 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns as the Longhorns made it to the national semifinal. He also added four carries for 98 yards and a touchdown in the running game.
Details on Bond’s situation were scarce at the time of publication. However, he released a statement to NFL Network denying the accusation, which he called “patently false.”
“Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false,” Bond’s statement read. “I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation.
“Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review. I kindly request that all reserve judgement until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”

Bond turned in his best season at Alabama as a sophomore in 2023 when he had 668 yards and four touchdowns. He then entered the transfer portal following Nick Saban’s retirement and committed to Texas.
As an NFL Draft prospect, Bond turned in a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. That put him among the Top 10 wide receivers in the event, and he’s taken a few visits during the pre-draft process, as well. At Texas’ Pro Day, though, he ran a 4.34-second 40-yard dash.
Isaiah Bond has visits in place with the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans, according to KPRC-2’s Aaron Wilson. He is also expected to attend the Atlanta Falcons’ local prospect day.
In his Mock Draft 4.0 released earlier this week, Kiper projected Bond to go No. 57 overall to the Carolina Panthers. That will be the ESPN analyst’s final mock draft of the offseason with the 2025 NFL Draft two weeks away from Green Bay.
