Jack Eichel gets Stanley Cup Champions tattoo on leg
Jack Eichel knows how to celebrate properly. After winning the Stanley Cup earlier this month, the Las Vegas Knights center got a tattoo to commemorate the accomplishment.
The postseason was quite a ride for Eichel. Eichel’s first trip to the Stanley Cup Playoffs concluded with NHL-highs in assists (20) and points (26). Of course, the cherry on top came when Eichel lifted the Stanley Cup after boosting his team to victory over the Florida Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.
“Lifelong dream,” Eichel said afterward. “To get your hands on (the Cup) … sometimes, you never know if it’s going to happen.”
It happened, even if it took a while. Eichel spent six seasons with the Buffalo Sabres after the franchise drafted him with the No. 2 pick in the 2015 NHL Draft. Eichel never saw a winning season with the Sabres. Yet, Eichel still appreciates his time with the organization.
“Listen, when I was in Buffalo, I was still living my dream, I was playing in the NHL,” Eichel said, per the NHL. “I don’t have a whole lot to complain about. You’re just not having as much success. You want to be doing what we’re doing now.”
The 6-foot-2 star finally tasted victory when the Sabres traded him to the Vegas Knights for the 2021-2022 season, where he propelled the team to a 43-31 record. Nonetheless, the progress wasn’t enough for Eichel to finally reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Obviously, the 2022-2023 season had a much different conclusion. Consequently, for the Vegas hero, his celebratory tattoo was on the house. Revolt Tattoos’ Joey Hamilton was the artist behind Eichel’s new ink. The 54-year-old tattoo artist knows a thing or two about winning championships.
Hamilton was the victor of season three of the hit reality competition TV show “Ink Master.” Following the Golden Knights playoff run, Hamilton offered free Golden Knights-themes tattoos at Toshiba Plaza outside of T-Mobile Arena.
Eichel took the acclaimed artist up on his offer while Golden Knights defensemen Alec Martinez and Shea Theodore watched from the side.
Eichel and his tattoo should be around for a while. The three-time NHL All-Star is currently earning $10 million a year on a contract that lasts through the 2025-2026 season. Hopefully for Golden Knights fans, he will have reason to get several more tattoos before his contract expires.
