Washington tight end Jack Westover has agreed to sign an undrafted free agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks, per report.

The veteran tight end spent six seasons with the Huskies, where he slowly developed into a reliable weapon at tight end.

During Washington’s run to the national championship game in 2023, Westover finished as the team’s third leading receiver, racking up 46 catches for 433 yards and four touchdowns.

And while that was his most productive campaign, it wasn’t his only productive campaign.

Across those six seasons Westover totaled 87 catches for 849 yards and six touchdowns. He also ran seven times for 26 yards and a score, showing off a little versatility.

Prior to enrolling at Washington, Jack Westover was an unrated recruit out of high school in the 2018 recruiting class. Westover hailed from Snoqualmie (WA) Mount Si.

What NFL Draft analysts are saying about Jack Westover

While Westover isn’t an elite playmaker after the catch, he’s a solid contributor when he gets the ball in his hands. More importantly, he’s able to work his way free to get the ball.

The question marks about Westover going to the next level are mostly technical.

Explains NFL Network analyst Lance Zierlein in evaluating Jack Westover:

“H-back prospect with good quickness and footwork as a pass catcher underneath. Westover figures to be targeted as an F tight end with fullback potential. He’s not a very strong blocker at the point but there are technical corrections that should help him improve in that area.

“He’s capable of uncovering underneath and has the speed to threaten the seam. He’s a wily zone-beater but is fairly pedestrian after the catch. Westover will have a shot to make the roster for a team looking to operate out of heavier personnel groupings.”
