After capturing the gold medal with Team USA in the main competition a few days ago and then watching her teammates capture medals in the individual All-Around competition, Jade Carey got her turn again on Saturday in the vault finals.

And she did not disappoint.

Carey landed a terrific second vault attempt, sticking the landing with nary a bounce to capture the bronze medal in the event. Her teammate, Simone Biles, captured the gold.

Check out Jade Carey’s excellent vault below.

It’s been a terrific 2024 Paris Olympic Games for the Americans so far, and Carey capturing bronze in the vault is just the latest. Team USA will have a chance for further individual medals in the coming days.

Team USA captured gold in style after disappointment in Tokyo, with Biles leading the way. She was terrific after her horrific experience in Tokyo, when she had to withdraw from the individual competition after experiencing the “twisties.”

No such issue in Paris.

Biles helped lead the way for Team USA in capturing the gold to kick things off in Paris. Then she went on to win the individual All-Around gold medal, becoming the first American to capture medals in the All-Around competition in two different Olympics.

That was a feat she’d shortly share with her teammate, Suni Lee. Lee captured the bronze medal in the All-Around competition, just three years after she won the All-Around competition in Tokyo. So she joined Biles as the only American women to claim All-Around medals in two different Olympics.

The rest of the team has been watching happily as their teammates have success.

For Jade Carey, being able to celebrate with an individual medal is a heck of an accomplishment. She had previously won one other individual medal, taking gold in the floor at the Tokyo Olympics.
