Trevor Lawrence lists favorite places to visit in Jacksonville

Ahead of his third season in the city, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence revealed his favorite places in Jacksonville. Joining former Jaguars star Fred Taylor and the hosts of the Pivot podcast, Lawrence agreed to divulge a few of his local joints because, as he claims, the Jacksonville fans don’t fawn over him quite as much as Clemson fans did.
“Honestly, everybody here is great,” Lawrence said. “I was surprised by how everybody, I think at Clemson it was crazier there going out, there it’s all football. Here, people are a little more respectful of our space.”
“Hawker’s is good, AB Kitchen is really good, Anejo’s good, in Ponte Vedra,” Lawrence added.
Fred Taylor also mentioned a local late-night adult entertainment venue, “The Silver Fox,” that he said he believes was torn down since his playing days.
Taylor is one of Lawrence’s biggest fans as a die-hard Jaguars fan. The former NFL running back even shared that he plans to root against a former Florida Gator, Anthony Richardson, when the Jags take on the Colts.
In his second season in the league last year, Lawrence helped the Jaguars break their playoff drought, and then some. The former Clemson Tiger threw for 4,113 yards with 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions on 66.3% passing. His performance earned him the first Pro Bowl appearance of his career.

Doug Pederson likens Lawrence to a sponge
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson has seen Lawrence evolve in just one year. By lifting the team up from obscurity, the former Clemson star has gained a level of confidence rarely seen in a 23-year-old.
“I think about some of the young quarterbacks I’ve had and going into Year 2 with us,” Pederson said. “That’s what you’ve seen. You’ve seen that confidence level increase, the understanding of the offense, and the dialogue that we have between Trevor and myself or Trevor and [offensive coordinator Press Taylor], Trevor and (quarterbacks coach) Mike McCoy, just the openness. That comes with maturity, and that comes with the confidence he has. Not only his ability, but also with understanding where he is within the system.
“It’s fun to be around guys like that and young quarterbacks like that, again, as we’ve said, he’s a sponge. He wants to learn. He wants to get better. Obviously, he’s not where he wants to be or where we want him to be because we can always get better and improve. I think his overall leadership ability has really been the bright spot for him heading into training camp this year.”
