Jahmyr Gibbs launches touchdown ball into crowd, directly hits Lions fan recording play
RB Jahmyr Gibbs actually gave a souvenir from one fan’s troubles tonight at Ford Field.
After a receiving touchdown, one of four for him on the night, Gibbs fired the ball he caught into the crowd. That football then directly hit the phone of a fan filming the play in the stands.
This came amidst a career-best outing for Gibbs in the 31-9 win that earned the NFC’s No. 1 seed in the 2025 NFL Playoffs for the Lions tonight with a final record of 15-2 overall.
During the division and conference-clinching victory, Gibbs rushed 23 times for 139 yards and three touchdowns, all of which were the most or second-most of his career on the ground, and caught all five of his targets for 31 yards and another score. Add it up and it was 28 touches for 170 total yards and four scores, which tied Barry Sanders for most in a game in franchise history. They also gave him the most total touchdowns in the NFL this season with 20.
This fan looked for his phone for almost two minutes in the seats before finding that it has recorded the whole thing. It’s fine, though, as they also left with a ball tonight from an all-time outing by Gibbs and an all-time win for the Lions.

Per Melissa Stark, Arnold is questionable to return to tonight’s deciding matchup in the NFC and NFC North between the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings.
“Cornerback Terrion Arnold – we saw him being helped off the field, putting zero pressure on his right leg. Clearly in a lot of pain. He was very emotional. He was immediately carted off. He is questionable with a foot injury.”
ESPN’s Adam Schefter also tweeted the latest on the rookie defensive back for the Lions.
“Terrion Arnold suffered a foot injury; the Lions say he is questionable to return tonight,” Schefter tweeted tonight.
