Jaire Alexander trolls Dak Prescott after Packers upset Cowboys

Jaire Alexander had a blast with the Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott Sunday as the Green Bay Packers stunned everyone with a 48-32 win in the Wild Card round.

The Packers, the No. 7 seed, led the Cowboys 48-16 at one point and Alexander had one of Prescott’s two interceptions. He loved that moment so much, Alexander gave Prescott props.

Well, it was in a trolling fashion as the Packers advanced to the Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers.

“It was lit, honestly. There was no better feeling,” Alexander said, via the team’s website. “There’s a few quarterbacks who’ve thrown me multiple picks in my career and Dak is now one of them. So he’s among my top QBs.”

Alexander came into the game with an ankle injury, but persevered throughout the week and gave a shutout to the training staff. He had quite the game.

“All week. Probably about five hours (a day) in the training room,” Alexander said. “It’s a testament to also the training staff. Man, the training staff got me out there. They knew the importance of this game and I wanted to play so bad. So I was in treatment about 5-6 hours every day and then at night more treatment. So it’s just a testament to God.”

Alexander picked off Prescott on the Cowboys’ second possession. It was after Green Bay punted and only led 7-0.

Safe to say, it was a timely turnover because the Packers put their foot on the gas pedal and didn’t let Dallas get into the game.

“Ja is elite. Ja is one of the best corners in this game,” defensive lineman Kenny Clark said. “The story ain’t changed with him. Every time he’s out there, he’s making an impact and helping our team get better. We love him. We love having him out there for the team.”

Following Alexander’s interception, the Packers extended the lead on multiple drives to 27-0. At that point, Dallas was in a hole it couldn’t get out of in the second half.

As far as what’s next for Alexander and the Packers defense, they have to deal with the 49ers on the road. Talk about a challenge with playmakers all over the field.

But since Prescott is one of Alexander’s top quarterbacks, perhaps he’ll say the same about Brock Purdy a week from now.
