Jake Ferguson injury update: Report emerges on severity of Cowboys tight end's knee injury
The Dallas Cowboys handled the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, 31-17. But unfortunately, they suffered an injury to one of their major offensive weapons, tight end Jake Ferguson. Shortly after the loss on Sunday evening, the franchise got a bit of good news.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network updated the star tight end’s injury status. Ferguson is not believed to have suffered an ACL tear, based on initial tests. X-Rays were negative and an MRI will be coming on Monday.
The third-year pro out of Wisconsin left the game with a left knee injury with 6:23 remaining in the third quarter. He did not return on the afternoon and finished the game with three catches for 15 yards.
Quarterback Dak Prescott added to reporters, “I think we dodged a big one,” after the game. He’ll get an MRI tomorrow, but his left knee was wrapped in ice as he left the locker room to the team bus. Ferguson also had no crutches and a brace.
