Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has been ruled out on Sunday against the Washington Commanders, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. He isn’t alone. Right guard Zack Martin also isn’t expected to play. Meanwhile, cornerback Trevon Diggs is questionable.

Ferguson hasn’t participated in practice this week after suffering a concussion in the first half of the Cowboys’ 34-10 loss to the Houston Texas on Sunday. Before leaving the game, Ferguson recorded one catche for 11 yards.

Ferguson is the Cowboys’ third-leading receiver this season, boasting 43 receptions for 369 yards. He hasn’t hauled in a touchdown yet in the 2024 campaign.

Martin hasn’t practiced this week and is doubtful to play on Sunday. Martin hasn’t missed a game yet for the Cowboys this season. Alas, it looks like he may be unavailable against the Commanders due to shoulder and ankle injuries.

Unlike Ferguson and Martin, Diggs is trending toward playing on Sunday. Diggs suffered groin and knee injuries against the Texans and has been limited at practice this week but gradually shown signs of improvement.

Additionally, cornerback DaRon Bland is set to make his season debut for the Cowboys. The third-year DB suffered a stress fracture in his foot during training camp, putting him on injured reserve before the season began. Now, he will look to make a difference in his return to the gridiron.

The Cowboys and Commanders will square off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. The game will air live on FOX. For the Cowboys’ complete injury report, look below.
