Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was shaken up during a scoring drive in the third quarter in their playoff game against the Rams.

The Eagles signal caller was sacked and saw both legs get bent in awkward positions. Hurts was visibly limping on a 3rd and 17 where he handed it off to Saquon Barkley. Philadelphia kicked a field goal to go up 16-13.

Hurts entered the medical tent following the drive. At that point of the game, Hurts was 12-of-17 for 109 yards passing and had six carries for 71 yards and a touchdown.

NBC Sports’ Melissa Stark reported it was a left knee injury for Hurts and he was seen grimacing as he went into the injury tent and remained in there during the start of the Rams ensuing drive.

In 15 games during the regular season, Hurts had 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns, five interceptions, a 68.7% completion percentage, 630 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.

Following a quick examination, Hurts was deemed good to go and was back out on the field as the Eagles forced a punt. Stark reported Hurts sported a brace on his left knee underneath his socks but was active on his feet.

He ended up being sacked on the next drive in the end zone for a safety, cutting Philadelphia’s lead to 16-15.

Coming into the game, Hurts answered questions about the lack of an explosive pass game in the Wild Card win over the Green Bay Packers.

“Every game is different,” he said Wednesday. “I think you guys need to understand that I don’t play the game for anything other than to win. And my role in each game will be different. And the approach in each game is different. And you just want to go out there and do your job and take advantage of opportunities.

“I think some things are magnified a little bit more because there’s less opportunity in certain areas. Ultimately, it’s about winning the game. We’re talking about playoff football.”
