Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was listed as a limited participant in practice on the team’s Wednesday injury report.

Hurts is listed as dealing with an ankle injury, but after practice told reporters that it’s a part of a program to keep him healthy for the final stretch of the regular season. He’s expected to fully practice over the next two days, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.

“That’s the goal always, really,” Hurts told reporters on Wednesday. “Throughout the course of a year, just really making sure you’re doing the things you need to do to stay on top of stuff. And that’s kind of what we’re doing. A lot of other players are doing it as well.

“So just taking it a day at the time, like everything. … And, you know, just see how we can become more efficient, how we can clean up the little things.”

The ankle injury does is not related to Hurts’ trip to the Eagles’ medical tent during last week’s Thursday Night Football win over the Washington Commanders. Hurts went in with the independent neurologist – presumably for a concussion evaluation – but later came out and jogged to the locker room at halftime.

It’s unclear when Hurts went down with the injury, but the Eagles later confirmed he was being evaluated for a concussion. He was later cleared to return to the game and finished the 26-18 win with 221 passing yards and one rushing touchdown on the night as Philadelphia improved to 8-2 on the season.

Hurts has not missed a game for the Eagles since he played 15 games during the 2022 season. He was healthy for all 17 games last year and has started all 10 games for Philadelphia in 2024 and appears to be on track to start during Week 12’s Sunday Night Football game in Los Angeles against the Rams.

The Eagles are three-point betting favorites on the road in Week 12. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET live on NBC and Peacock.
