Jalen Milroe is wearing his best for what could be one of the biggest nights of his life. The former Alabama quarterback is wearing a Chrome Hearts suit to the 2025 NFL Draft.

The suit is black with silver crosses dispersed across it. Milroe also appears to be rolling with the no-show socks and shiny black dress shoes. If draft fit is any indication of a player’s readiness for the next level, Milroe should expect to hear his name called early on Thursday night.

Unfortunately for Milroe, most experts don’t expect him to be drafted any earlier than the second round. In a mock draft last week, ESPN’s Field Yates projected Milroe to land with the Pittsburgh Steelers at the No. 68 overall pick.

Milroe is undeniably one of the most divisive prospects in the draft. Earlier this week, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero talked to NFL coaches, executives and scouts about the Crimson Tide star, and each of them seemed to have different opinions.

“He is the greatest runner of the football at the quarterback position I’ve ever seen. And there’s enough talent in the arm to make you want to play an offense that suits that,” one AFC quarterbacks coach told Pelissero. “It’s (Jalen) Hurts. It’s Lamar (Jackson). It’s Colin Kaepernick. There are some guys that have successfully done it, and if you want to baby him into the league that way and then let him flourish, who knows?”

“(Milroe) has a lot of accuracy issues. But he’s a freak,” an AFC coordinator said. “He’s the best running quarterback I’ve ever evaluated. He’s like Cam Newton‘s power with Lamar’s speed. He can throw the ball down the field — his numbers over 20 yards are good. And he’s a true developmental-type player. He’s electric.”

Nobody can argue with Jalen Milroe’s talent in the ground game. In his two years as Alabama’s full-time starting quarterback, he amassed 1,257 rushing yards and 32 rushing touchdowns.

Alas, his accuracy was questionable at times. In the 2024 campaign, Milroe tallied 2,844 passing yards and 16 touchdowns while throwing 11 interceptions. Milroe’s landing spot in the draft will depend on how confident teams are that he can overcome his passing woes.

The 2025 NFL draft will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for the first time. Round 1 will begin on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. Rounds 2 and 3 will ensue on Friday, and Rounds 4 through 7 will follow on Saturday. The draft will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC and the ESPN App.
