Jameis Winston, Cedric Tillman connect for unbelievable, potential game-winning touchdown vs. Ravens
Jameis Winston found the magic late on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, connecting with former Tennessee Volunteer wideout Cedric Tillman for a 38-yard touchdown strike in the final minutes of the game for what ended up being the game-winner.
The Cleveland Browns ended up pulling off the stunner, winning 29-24 on Sunday in Cleveland. It’s definitely one of the bigger upsets of the year thus far. And it’s exactly why the saying, ‘Any Given Sunday’ will always be true. Winston put on a special performance, completing 27 of 41 passes for 334 yards, while tossing in three touchdowns with no interceptions.
Tillman continues to shine in his second year for the Browns. He hauled in seven catches for 99 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
Cleveland needed another weapon to emerge since Amari Cooper was traded to Buffalo a few weeks ago, and Tillman has certainly done that. Against Cincinnati, the former Volunteer hauled in eight catches for 81 receiving yards.
Sometimes it can take a bit for prospects to develop in the National Football League and Tillman seems to have turned a corner in his second year. He’ll only continue to get better with time and is showing signs of rapid progression the past few weeks. The Cleveland Browns originally drafted him in the 2023 NFL Draft with their third-round selection (pick No. 74 overall).
