Jameis Winston hilariously interviews live fish on a boat
Who knew play by play for a fishing competition could be so funny? But Jameis Winston truly has a rapport with fish.
More specifically, the quarterback knows how to draw out a tuna.
Winston, who switched from the Saints to the Browns this off season, was on a boat off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Saturday afternoon. He was part of the crew on The Catch on CBS Sports.
The video clips from the show quickly went viral. Cause it’s not everyday you see Jameis Winston interviewing a flapping fish. Take a look and enjoy the spectacle.
After someone reeled in the tuna, Winston immediately began the verbal grilling.
“You’re not going anywhere, you’re on the boat right now, what do you have to say for yourself?” Winston cracked. “Your cousin came, your cousin came. There you have it folks. We just cut the lines and we have two family members of the tuna.”
And then Winston delved into the meat of the topic.
“If you’re wondering, and I ask the question, too, ‘why do fish flap when they get out of the water?’ A wise friend once told me that they are just simply trying to swim away. Well fish, how does it work swimming in the air?

“He didn’t really have a response. Sometimes no response is the best response of all.”
Great stuff, right? But this isn’t the first time Jameis Winston has talked to fish, with said conversations becoming quite popular on social media. Last summer, when Winston still was with the Saints, he went on a bow-fishing trip with some of his teammates.
And during the trip, he trash talked a red fish.

Who knows how good the fishing is around Cleveland, Ohio. Winston left the Saints and signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the Browns earlier this spring. He can earn up to $4.7 million in incentives. Fishing is all on him.
Cleveland made the post-season this past January although they needed to use five quarterbacks. Deshaun Watson, whose season ended after a shoulder injury, is back for this season. So he’ll be the starter. But the Browns opted for Winston, the former Florida State star and No. 1 pick of the NFL Draft, to be Watson’s top backup. Joe Flacco had been the No. 2 guy, but he signed with the Colts.
So if the NFL thing doesn’t work out this year, Jameis Winston can do fish commentary for a living. He obviously has a rapport with the fin types.
