WATCH: Jarvis Landry reels in one hander in Saints practice
The New Orleans Saints have one of the more stacked receiving corps in the National Football League heading into the 2022 season. This fall, Saints’ fans have been getting a glimpse of just how talented their receiving corps truly is and they’ve got to be ecstatic with what they are seeing thus far. Former Cleveland Browns star Jarvis Landry showed off his amazing set of hands in Friday afternoon’s practice, reeling in a beautiful one-handed snag with his left hand.
Check it out as the ball just sticks to his hand.
Landry has long been one of the best receivers in the National Football League. He dealt with a number of injuries last year with the Browns and tweeted about them. Now, he’s healthy again and ready to return to his elite form. Landry had a career-low in production last season, only catching 52 passes for 570 yards. Disagreements with the Browns franchise led to him being released and free to sign with whatever team he wanted to for the 2022 season. He spent the last four seasons with the Cleveland Browns and the Saints are the third team that he’s played for in the National Football League.
Throughout his prolific career thus far in the NFL, Landry has been named to the Pro Bowl five times. He also led the league in receptions in 2017.

A former five-star prospect in the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2011 cycle, Landry signed with the LSU Tigers coming out of high school. He spent three seasons in Baton Rouge before declaring for the 2014 NFL Draft. The Miami Dolphins selected Landry No. 63 overall in the second round where he instantly become one of the league’s best. After a down season, the hope is that being back in Louisiana will bring the best out of Landry.
The Saints have worked hard to address their wide receiver problems this offseason, drafting Chris Olave in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Michael Thomas did not see the field last season due to injuries but has been looking really sharp in recent videos in training camp. A combination of Landry, Olave, and Thomas could create one of the top units across the entire NFL for first-year head coach Dennis Allen.
