Jason Kelce will not cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. While talking about the game with brother Travis Kelce on the New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce confirmed that he won’t be wearing any Chiefs colors at the championship game.

“I can’t wear Kansas City red for this one, Trav. I can’t wear red,” Jason said. “I can’t bring myself to it.”

Travis then asked Jason if he would wear “Bearcat red.” Jason responded, “That’s what Kylie does, but I don’t think she’s gonna be doing that this time around.” He added, “I’m gonna wear my New Heights Big Yeti shirt. Big Yeti yellow one I’ll have, I’ll wear that.”

While Jason wants to support Travis who is playing in his fifth Super Bowl with the Chiefs, he spent his entire NFL career with the Eagles and won a Super Bowl with the team in 2017.

“Here’s the biggest thing. Obviously, you’re my brother. I’ll always root for my brother. That’s the reality of it,” Jason said on the podcast, per CNN. “Even though I’m decked out in Eagles gear, I’m always rooting for Travis.

“But, there’s a lot of people in the Philadelphia organization – whether it’s players, coaches, people in the building – that feel like extended family to me, especially my former offensive linemen. Like (right tackle) Lane Johnson feels like a brother in a lot of ways. I’m rooting for those guys too. I’m rooting for Philadelphia and I’m rooting for Travis Kelce. That’s the reality of it. No matter what on game day, I’m going to be happy for one of those sides and I’m going to be sad for the other side.”

Jason was playing for the Eagles when they faced Travis and the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. He talked about the similarities between the last time the two teams played in the Super Bowl, saying that it won’t be as intense since he’s not playing.

“I think it’s going to be very similar, I really do. I live in Philadelphia, I still go to the facilities on a very regular basis,” Jason Kelce said. “I still feel like I am a Philadelphia Eagle and that I’m a part of all these people who root and cheer our team.

“So I would be lying if I said I don’t want the Eagles to win, but I also want Travis Kelce to win. That’s a long-winded way of saying I just want to see a good football game, whoever wins.”
