Jayden Daniels gets raucous ovation while sitting courtside at Washington Wizards game
Jayden Daniels is quickly becoming one of the more beloved sports figures in Washington D.C. as he got a ton of love at the Washington Wizards game. On Monday night, the Wizards showed Daniels’ Hail Mary TD pass during last week’s Washington Commanders vs. Chicago Bears game on the jumbotron. The Commanders quarterback, who was sitting courtside at the game, was then shown on the screen and received a huge ovation from Wizards fans.
Daniels has put together a strong rookie season, completing 71.5 percent of his passes for 1,945 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions with a 106.7 passer rating. The former LSU Tigers star is also dangerous on the run as he rushed for 459 yards and four touchdowns on 82 carries. Daniels’ production has helped the Commanders have a 7-2 record through the first nine games of the year.
After the game against the New York Giants on Sunday, Daniels spoke to reporters about how he is still learning and growing as a rookie. “I think just little nuances,” he said, per the Commanders’ official website. “Obviously, I face different coordinators every game.
“So, they’re still trying to get to know me. I’m still trying to learn how they, how teams might try to play me. Every team is different. Every team has a different scheme, different talent, different players. So just still trying to go through that whole year of, ‘Okay, this coordinator might try to play me this way,’ and go from there.

Jayden Daniels on how he wants Commanders to handle success
Jayden Daniels also talked about how he wants the Commanders to handle success. “I always be appreciative of it, go out there and enjoy every moment with each other, but at the end of the day, what happened last week doesn’t really matter,” he said. “We could go on a five-game winner streak and lose one, and everybody’s going to talk about that loss.
“Nobody’s going to talk about prior. So, at the end of the day, what happened last week and the week before, that doesn’t matter. It’s not going to carry over to the next team like, ‘Oh, Washington’s coming to town, we’re just going to lay over’
