While the Steelers will be happy to have Warren on the field, they will undoubtedly miss linebacker Alex Highsmith. The standout LB suffered an ankle injury last week against the Washington Commanders. Ahead of the game, Steelers defensive coordinator Teryl Austin discussed how the team will adjust to Highsmith’s absence.
“Losing Alex, we hate to lose Alex, but it’s always next man up,” Austin said. “Our scheme and our thing is pretty flexible, and the guys that we bring in here, we think they fit what we do.
“We’re just going to move forward with how we play and how we plan and prepare and do all those things. We’re not going to change a whole bunch, I don’t think, in terms of saying, hey, we can only do this with Nick [Herbig], and we can only do this with Preston [Smith].”
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the Steelers and Ravens collide. The two AFC North squads will face off at 1 p.m. ET. The game will air live on CBS.
