WATCH: Jayson Tatum and Mac Jones share moment on court after Celtics win

After the Boston Celtics closed out their seven-game series with the Milwaukee Bucks, young stars Jayson Tatum and Mac Jones shared a moment. The pair chatted on the court for a bit after post-game handshakes, before Jones congratulated Tatum on his huge series win. Tatum is in his fifth year with Boston and emerging as one of the best players in the NBA, while Jones impressed last year in his rookie debut with the New England Patriots.

In the close-out win over the Bucks in their home arena, Tatum had an efficient night with 23 points, six rebounds and eight assists. His work throughout the series was impressive, but his heroics in Game 6 on the road while facing elimination are the reason they advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday. In Milwaukee, Tatum dueled with defending champion Giannis Antetokounmpo and won the game with 46 points and nine rebounds compared to Antetokounmpo’s 44 points and 20 rebounds.
On Sunday, Tatum and his teammates get their first chance to breathe since the hard-fought series began — and got to share the moment with a few Boston stars as well. Jones was among those present for Game 7, and the cameras caught a nice, candid moment between two of the brightest rising stars in Boston sports.

Jones faced immense pressure right away in his NFL debut as he took over a New England team as a rookie and attempted to fill the franchise quarterback position that Tom Brady left open. While the Patriots didn’t demand too much of their rookie, his immediate calm and leadership at the position led the Patriots to a 10-7 season.
Boston’s win marks 31 times that a team from Boston has reached the “conference finals” for their sport in the playoffs since 2002.
