For the third year in a row, Jeb Burton returns to the No. 27 Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport Chevrolet. He takes on the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season with a new teammate, Blaine Perkins.

Following a season with 12 DNFs, Parker Retzlaff is not returning to Jordan Anderson Racing. Despite winning two pole awards for the organization, Retzlaff is out of the 31 car.

So, Jeb Burton and Blaine Perkins are the new dynamic duo. These two drivers have a lot to prove in 2025. Perkins especially has to show that he is capable of putting up results in decent equipment.

I think that Parker Retzlaff has a higher ceiling. However, Blaine Perkins deserves a shot. He is 24 years old and doesn’t have a ton of races under his belt in NASCAR.

Perkins spent 2024 with RSS Racing. He was able to finish 27th in points. During the season he managed to qualify for every race except for Watkins Glen. His season-best finish came at Phoenix in the spring, P13.

As for Jeb Burton, this is another chance to be the face of this organization. His No. 27 team finished 2024 19th in points. He had only three top-10 finishes, a step back from the 2023 season.

Burton has to get off to a hotter start in 2025 than he did 2024. His first top-20 didn’t come until Talladega. He still managed to score more points than Retzlaff. Although Parker had two top-5s and two additional top-10s as well as his two pole awards, his DNFs were too much.

Jeb Burton gets new teammate in Blaine Perkins

Based on the last few seasons, the expectations at Jordan Anderson Racing are simple. Top-20 in points and maybe win at Daytona or Talladega is possible. Other than that, keep the car clean, finish around the top-15 or better and that’s a solid season for this organization.

Even with 12 DNFs, Retzlaff finished 21st in points. Perkins has to keep the car clean and just finish races. If he can do that, then the points and results will come. These JAR cars are not backmarkers, the right driver can get results with them.

I think many fans are disappointed to see Retzlaff replaced. But that’s the name of the game. He couldn’t keep himself out of trouble and wrecked a lot of race cars last season. So, I’m not shocked to see Jordan Anderson pick Perkins to replace him.

On the other hand, a lot of people still believe in Blaine Perkins. Perhaps teamed up with Jeb Burton, the 24-year-old can find a groove and make things happen this season.
