Great news for Jeffrey Earnhardt who will race two more times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this year with Sam Hunt Racing. Earnhardt will race at Michigan International Speedway and Phoenix Raceway in the No. 26 car.

Sam Hunt Racing is a solid team. They have a good program over there and Jeffrey Earnhardt has a prior relationship with SHR. Back at Atlanta, Earnhardt earned a P8 finish. His luck at Talladega didn’t go so well in the No. 26 car. He finished P37.

Earnhardt is running a scarce part-time schedule this season. He has only three starts in a NASCAR national series. His third start was with MBM Motorsports at Charlotte in the Craftsman Truck Series.

Two more great opportunities for Jeffrey Earnhardt this season.

Earnhardt is bringing sponsorship from Synergy Modular. Synergy helps in pre-construction support, project management, and contracting services and specializes in modular buildings.

Last season, Jeffrey Earnhardt had a schedule with more races. He drove the Alpha Prime Racing 44 and 45 cars, but not for a full season. In 2022, Earnhardt earned a pole award at Talladega, finishing P2 in the race for Richard Childress Racing in the Xfinity Series.

In his Xfinity Series career, Earnhardt has a best finish of P23 at Michigan, which was last season. He has a career-best finish of P19 at Phoenix from 2021 with JD Motorsports. Earnhardt earned a P7 finish at Nashville in 2022 with Sam Hunt Racing.

Jeffrey Earnhardt gets great opportunity at Sam Hunt

Getting wheel time at Sam Hunt Racing is good for someone like Jeffrey Earnhardt. That team has figured things out, and while they have opted to put a number of different drivers in the 26 car this season, it has had success.

Earnhardt has one of the four top-10 finishes for the 26 team this season. Corey Heim earned two top-5s, one at Richmond and another at Iowa. Heim also earned a top-10 at New Hampshire.

For Earnhardt, these are crucial starts. He has to perform and show that he is capable of racing in NASCAR still. I have no doubt he could hold his own in Truck or Xfinity in a full-time position. It’s going to take sponsorship and results to get a full-time ride, though.

At 35 years old, Jeffrey Earnhardt has time, but not a lot of it. He is going to be focused on putting up good results at Michigan and Phoenix. How well do you think Earnhardt will do with Sam Hunt?
