Jeremy Fowler reveals latest on Jaxson Dart NFL Draft stock, if he could leap Shedeur Sanders

Jaxson Dart is a hot name around league circles, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. The former Ole Miss quarterback could very well get drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft in a few weeks.
Cam Ward is the top quarterback and there seems to be no debate over that statement now. But, there might be a debate of who’s No. 2: Dart or Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.
Initially, there wasn’t a thought about Dart leaping Sanders in this draft. But the Rebels’ quarterback’s stock has vastly increased, per Fowler.
“Jaxson Dart, he is a hot name right now,” Fowler said on SportsCenter. “When you talk to teams, they bring him up unprompted, where is Jaxson Dart going to go? He met with Pittsburgh this week on a top 30 visit, went to visit the Steelers. They picked 21st, so that could be an option there.
“And then the Saints have done a lot of quarterback homework. They were watching darts intently at his pro day the other day so they could be a sleeper for him. There is even talk in some league circles that he could go ahead of Shedeur (Sanders). I have a hard time believing that at this point, but teams are at least wondering whether he could jump that high.”

While Dart could certainly be a first round pick, him jumping up to the top 10 seems unlikely. ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller listed it as a “hot” rumor.
“I think Jaxson Dart going in the Top 10 is the hot one,” Miller said on Up and Adams. “And you’re right, it’s been quiet. As someone who loves draft rumors, it’s been quiet, and I think it’s because we don’t have the big quarterbacks this year. But Jaxson Dart going in the Top 10 – and that might be the Saints at nine, it might be a team trading up – that’s the one I’m trying to get the most intel on right now because the buzz on him as just been building.
“And I’ll be the first to admit, there has been buzz on players in the past that fizzled out by the time we got to draft weekend. Mac Jones going No. 3 was the big buzz not that long ago, and he didn’t go until 15. With Jaxson Dart, we’ll see, but it’s definitely trending in the direction that he’s going to go much earlier than we all thought when the season ended.”
