Jerry Jones on whether Cowboys will be buyers or sellers at trade deadline

Just hours before the NFL’s trade deadline, which is 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones opened up about his team’s plans.
“I don’t look for us to be doing anything today,” Jones said, per Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.
Gehlken added that Jones said he prefers to have other teams calling his office instead of the other way around because they are willing to pay a “premium” to acquire a player at the last minute.
“That’s all the difference in the world,” Jones added.
The Cowboys are 6-1 after losing their opener and seemingly content with where their roster can lead them this season. They have suffered a fair number of injuries, most recently losing linebacker Jabril Cox to a torn ACL, but that does not seem to get Jones on the phone with any of the other 31 teams.
Diggs looks to be fine after ankle injury
Prior to Jones’ statement, the sentiment was if Dallas needed help anywhere, it would likely be at cornerback and on the defensive line on defense and on the interior offensive line on offense.
The Cowboys are currently very thankful that they don’t have another issue at cornerback on their hands, as star corner Trevon Diggs suffered an ankle injury on Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings, but it looks to be non-serious.
“Cowboys star CB Trevon Diggs should be fine from his ankle injury yesterday,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted on Monday.

Diggs suffered his injury on one of the final plays of the game. As the Vikings attempted to drive for a game-winning touchdown, Diggs banged his ankle against the ankle of Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn. Immediately, Diggs was looked at by trainers and seemingly in great amounts of pain.
Luckily, it seems as if Diggs will be fine moving forward. It doesn’t seem to be anything more than fleeting pain for the Cowboys defensive back.
The former Alabama Crimson Tide national champion spent the bye week and last week recovering from a separate ankle injury after the win versus New England. The corner played limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday of last week before going full-go on Friday.
Diggs leads the NFL in interceptions with seven. Kevin Byard of the Tennessee Titans is second with four.
