The Dallas Cowboys don’t look nearly as dominant on offense as they did earlier in the season. Dallas has won two consecutive games, including Sunday’s victory over the Washington Football Team. Quarterback Dak Prescott has seen some struggles over the last few weeks, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones admitted that Prescott might be in a slump.

“I don’t want to say (it’s a) slump, but that’s probably fair,” Jones said of Prescott. “It’s such a multifaceted evaluation. I would say that our offense is definitely away from where we were 5-6 weeks ago. … Yes, he is (healthy). He’ll figure it out.”

Prescott completed 22 of his 39 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against Washington. Last week against the New Orleans Saints, Prescott was 26-of-40 for 238 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Prescott had a good day on Thanksgiving against the Raiders, throwing for 375 yards and two touchdowns. But the week prior, Prescott threw for 216 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions.

On the season, Prescott has thrown for 3,381 yards, 24 touchdowns and ten interceptions. He also has 37 rushing attempts for 106 yards and one touchdown. Prescott’s recent slump is concerning, but as Jones alluded to, it isn’t just on Prescott. The Cowboys have dealt with a plethora of injuries on offense in recent weeks, which could be a reason behind the Cowboys’ recent offensive struggles.

Running back Tony Pollard missed Sunday’s game with a foot injury, while offensive tackle Tyron Smith left the game with an ankle injury. Smith has already been ruled out next week against the New York Giants, but Pollard has a chance to play.

Ryan Clark agrees with Jones’ assessment of Prescott, Cowboys offense

On ESPN’s Get Up on Monday, analyst Ryan Clark had a lot to say about the Cowboys, especially on offense. Clark mirrored Jones’ comments of Prescott and the offense not being at the same level that it was earlier in the year. But Clark went on to say a lot more than that. Clark simply doesn’t believe that the Cowboys can win a Super Bowl with the level Prescott is currently playing at.

The Cowboys came into the year with massive expectations on offense and questions surrounding the defense. With just a few weeks remaining in the regular season, that notion has seemingly flipped.

“Early on in this season, we thought the offense was going to carry this team,” Clark said. “We thought Dak Prescott was going to play at an MVP level and this is why this team would be a championship contender. But when you think about what Micah Parsons is doing, the things that Dan Quinn has added to this defense, the defense is now becoming the reason why this team could win football games. … You have a Defensive Player of the Year candidate in Micah Parsons, you also have that in Trevon Diggs. And now that you’ve got Randy Gregory and also DeMarcus Lawrence back healthy, you could rush the passer in so many ways.

“But the bottom line is this. The Dallas Cowboys are judged by championships. It’s been a quarter century since they’ve had an opportunity to win one. This Dak Prescott, the guy playing football now, cannot win a championship. They cannot be a Super Bowl team with No. 4 playing at the level he’s playing at. So if that doesn’t change, we’ll be having the same conversation we’ve had for years about the Cowboys. They’ll be sitting home watching the Super Bowl with us.”
