Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones still has his sights set on adding Odell Beckham Jr. to the team. With rumors circulating for months now about Dallas’ interest in signing the former Pro Bowl receiver, it seems as if time is running out as the regular season nears its end.

However, Jones hinted after the Cowboys’ 27-23 victory against Houston in Week 14 that some big news could be coming soon regarding Beckham.

“Not at all,” Jones said when asked whether Dallas has moved on from Beckham. “Put a big exclamation on that. That’s all I got on that.”

Health is the main concern when it comes to Beckham, and could be what is holding him up from signing with the Cowboys. The receiver tore his ACL in last season’s Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, and has spent the past 10 months recovering.

Beckham has already met with the Cowboys, as well the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants, about potentially joining the team. He was also in attendance at a Dallas Mavericks game on Monday alongside Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons.

All this is mind, along with the comments from Jones on Sunday, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Odell Beckham land with the Cowboys eventually. That said, no offer has been extended yet, and there’s no telling how this situation will ultimately unfold.

Odell Beckham Jr explains his preference, ideal timetable for return to field

Odell Beckham Jr hasn’t played in a football game since he tore his ACL in last season’s Super Bowl. That hasn’t been for a lack of rumors, though. Plenty of teams, most notably the Dallas Cowboys, have courted him publicly and privately.

While speaking on NFL on Prime Video, Odell Beckham Jr explained his preference and ideal timetable for a return to the field.

You can watch the video, here:

“I would like to be in a stable environment, get up at 6 am, leave at 6 pm for 4 weeks, and then let’s talk about it. … I’m not saying I couldn’t step in and play regular season, but I don’t see the point,” Odell Beckham Jr said.

OBJ emphasized that he hasn’t made a decision yet. He just wants a stable environment. It’s interesting, however, that not playing in the regular season lines up with his reported recovery timeline.
