Jets CB D.J. Reed slams NFL officiating in NSFW social media post
Jets defensive back DJ Reed was not a fan of the officials this afternoon in the Jets-Seahawks game. He let them know in a NSFW social media post on Twitter.
The Jets held a 21-16 lead entering the fourth quarter, but the Seahawks managed to respond by scoring 10 straight points, including a go-ahead touchdown with just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Reed was called for holding early in the first quarter against the Seahawks. The Jets were penalized 12 times for 83 yards in the game. Two of those penalties came on a critical drive for the Seahawks. Seattle tailback Zach Charbonnet ran for the go-ahead touchdown run with 5:34 left in the game.
The drive was extended two times after New York’s Qwan’tez Stiggers and Solomon Thomas were both called for penalties. The calls came on fourth downs, giving Seattle a new set of downs and allowing them to extend their drive.

He had seven tackles and a pass breakup on Sunday against the Seahawks. He’s likely to face a substantial fine for criticizing NFL officials. Reed has bounced around with a few different franchises in the NFL, the 49ers (2018-2019, the Seattle Seahawks (2020-2021), and the New York Jets (2022-present). He played his college football with the Kansas State Wildcats, where he was the Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year in 2016. He also was named first team All-Big 12 in 2016.
