Report: Jets rookie running back Breece Hall feared to have torn ACL

Jets rookie running back Breece Hall is feared to have suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s game against Denver, according to coach Robert Saleh. If that diagnosis turns out to be true, it would unfortunately put an end to his season.
Hall has been a big part of the Jets early success, totaling 391 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the first six games. The second-round pick was a prime candidate to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, and also had a 62-yard touchdown run in the first quarter Sunday.
Hall had especially been picking up steam over the past few weeks, and having scored a touchdown in four straight games. He played his college ball for Iowa State, where he totaled a combined 3,941 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns across three seasons.
Should the diagnosis on Breece Hall’s ACL be true, fans can expect Michael Carter to step in to fill his absence. Carter has 199 yards and two touchdowns playing behind Hall so far this season. The Jets also have Ty Johnson behind him.

The Jets also had right tackle Alijah Vera-Tucker leave with an elbow injury and wide receiver Corey Davis exit with a knee injury. Saleh said Davis’ injury is not believed to be serious while Vera-Tucker will be evaluated further on Monday.
The Jets will await official news on the injury to Hall, but for now it certainly doesn’t sound good. They are off to a 5-2 start this season and will face the Patriots next Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
